Benefit boxed powders have been some of my favorite powders for a very long time! The first one I ever owned was Hoola and it’s been one of my “holy grail” products from day one of using it. I bought all of these blushes, and the Hoola bronzer, as a part of different value sets of various Benefit products from Sephora. These powders all have amazing pigmentation and my favorite feature of them is that they are scented!!! Hoola is the only Benefit powder I have that does not smell like anything in particular. I don’t know exactly how to describe the scent but oh my goodness you have to smell them, they are amazing! They smell sweet but not too sweet, kind of floral and a little like cotton candy. Bella Bambda definitely smells the best out of the four powders I do own. I own Bella Bamba, Dallas, Dandelion and Hoola and I LOVE them all sososo much <3
“Bronzing powder” -Benefit.com
“A beautiful bronzing powder. This powder is like Barbados in a box! Sweep Hoola across the chin, cheeks, and forehead with the accompanying brush for a healthy, natural looking tan year-round – no tanning bed necessary.” - Sephora.com
If I could use only one bronzer for the rest of my life this would definitely be it! I use Hoola to contour my nose, cheeks, jaw line, and my temples. The color blends easily with other liquids, powders, and cream face products. Hoola is buildable so I can create a subtle look or get great definition depending on what I am going for. Hoola is a completely matte light brown shade that looks amazing on light to medium skin tones and has zero orange tint, so it is perfect for contouring the face.
“A brightening face powder” -Benefit.com
“Fake awake with Dandelion – Benefit’s ballerina-pink pressed highlighting powder. Just one stroke of Dandelion takes your complexion from dull to radiant in an instant. It’s shimmery, satiny, radiant, perk-me-up finish is guaranteed to make them wonder …’How do you look so pretty at eight in the morning?’” - Sephora.com
Dandelion is a great blush for light skin tones! I have light to medium skin, so I am right on the brink of this blush being too light for me but during the winter it looks lovely and I really enjoy using it. It’s great for a no-makeup look and this powder literally lasts forever on the skin. I sometimes use this blush on the bridge of my nose and other areas of my face to highlight and brighten my face a little. Dandelion is a subtle blush but adds just enough color and warmth to look flattering without looking like I’m wearing harsh blush.
“An outdoor glow for an indoor gal face powder” -Benefit.com
“It’s an outdoor glow for the indoor gal! Benefit’s newest pressed powder is a sun-kissed rose glow for rich, enviable beauty in a box. Sweep Dallas across cheeks, chin, and forehead to lift away signs of dullness and give your complexion a naturally radiant and vibrant glow – so sheer, it’s a wash of color that will benefit just about every skin tone.”- Sephora.com
This blush can be used as a warm bronzer but I generally use it as a deeper shade of blush that I generally pull out during the fall and winter months. This blush makes it looks like I I’ve spent a day at the beach our outside in the sunshine, which is a rarity in the winter months, so a girl has gotta fake it to make it! I love it! I like using this blush also on areas of my face where the sun would hit naturally and I will definitely be repurchasing this blush when it runs out. Dallas has a slight bit of shimmer but not enough to be noticeable on the skin. It’s warm, beautiful and definitely flattering on any skin tone.
Bella Bamba Blush
A 3D brightening pink face powder
“A watermelon-pink blush laced with shimmering gold undertones. This boxed blush, with a mirror tucked inside a magnetic closure flip-top lid, amplifies cheekbones and creates the illusion of sculpted features for a gorgeous 3D effect. Your face will look instantly brighter with just a quick swipe of this ultra-flattering color on the cheeks.” – Sephora.com
Out of all of my Benefit blushes Bella Bamba is my favorite by far! Not only does it smell amazing, it has the world’s cutest purple holographic box (I am a HUGE sucker for packaging) The blush itself is such a versitle and natural colour that is SO pigmented and beautiful. The shimmer in the blush looks a little intense in the box but on the skin it has most subtle and beautiful highlight to it, that you don’t need to add a highlight because it makes the face glow. I could not rave about this blush more if I tried to! If it’s your first time looking at the Benefit boxed blushes, this should be the first one you buy!
These boxed blushes are about the size of the palm of my hand
New smaller 0.28 oz box with a mirror tucked inside a magnetic closure flip-top lid (left)
Old larger 0.40 oz box without a mirror but with a completely removable lid (right)
Have you ever tried Benefit boxed powders? If so which ones would you recommend?
Hugs and kisses xoxo
